吃闷亏

生气不知如何说出口
委屈但不知怎么说出来, 只在那儿生闷气,吃闷亏
对这样的我,我讨厌,
我要勇敢的踏出这个框框

JUMP

Was really looking forward to catching JUMP at the Esplanade yesterday.

JUMP is a coMic martial arts performance by a group of Koreans.
It was here in Spore from 11 to 13 Sep at the Epslanade.

It was really an 80 mins of good laugh! I enjoyed all their energetic kicks, stunts, somersaults , slow motion rewind mode stunts they did and the interaction they have with the audience (and am so glad us S'poreans were so spotting!) I am intrigued by how agile they are and through martial arts could display such a comedy. For the 1st time I make sure I had a chance to take pictures with the cast and well we manage to just get the right spot where the cast exit from the theatre to the open area to take pictures for us. Should have really bought my camera but well I didnt so photos were only taken with my mobile phone which then of course resolutions was not good.

Their next stops will be China and UK.

Renewed Thinking

"God's ways are higher than our ways,His thoughts are higher than our thoughts"
"Trust not on your own wisdom and lean not on your own understanding."

Recently these verses has become more than a verse in the bible but a gnosko experience for me. God has once again shown me His love toward me and His thoughts towards me are good.
The story of Lazarus we learned in CG this week further confirms what God has been trying to tell me all this while and as I piece the pictures together I am touched by His love, grace and mercy towards me. Indeed God has His own timing and works on a bigger picture than what we can see but when we do not see His hand moving yet we have to learn to trust in His heart. The bible said clearly He loved Lazarus, Mary and Martha, but He allowed them to wait before He comes with His deliverance. But the period of waiting was for a higher purpose and ultimately God's name was glorified!

Indeed as we learn to walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh, as we abide in God and hear His word, one word from Him will bring the peace into our situation. Thank you God for your grace, love and mercy toward me!

Giving (Part 1) Cookie Thief

Extracts from "FINANCIAL EXCELLENCE" by Dr Phil Pringle

Giving is completely relinquishing control of something of yours into the control of another person to do with as he pleases. True wealth is not measured by what people have but by what they give in proportion to what they have. Loaning to someone is not giving.

The attitude of giving - generous spirit
To be giving or generous is to have a joyful spirit.
Giving means being willing and cheerful when we release something of ours into the ownership of another.

Charles Swindoll "A happy spirit takes the grind out of giving. The grease of gusto frees the gears of generousity"

"THE COOKIE THIEF"

A woman was waiting at an airport one night with several long hours before her flight.
She hunted for a book in the airport shop, bought a bag of cookies and found a place tgo drop.

She was engrossed in her book, but happened to see, that the man beside her, as bold as could be, grabbed a cookie or two from the bag between, which she tried to ignore to avoid a scene.

She read, munched cookies, and watched the clock, as the gutsy "cookie thief" diminished her stock. She was getting irritated as the minutes ticked by, thinking , "If I weren't so nice, I'd blacken his eye!"

With each cookie she took, he took one too.
When only one was left, she wondered what he'd do.
With a smile on his face and a nervous laugh he took the last cookie and broke it in half.

He offered her half, as he ate the other. She snatched it from him and thought "Oh brother, this guy has some nerve, and he's also rude. Why, he didnt even show any gratitude!"

She had never known when she had been so galled, and sighed with relief when her flight was called. She gathered her belongings and headed for the gate, refusing to look back at the "thieving ingrate."

She boarded the plane and sank in her seat, then sought her book, which was almost complete. As she reached in her baggage, she gasped with surprise : There was her bag of cookies in front of her eyes!

"If mine are here," she moaned with despair, "then the others were his, and he tried to share!" Too late to apologise, she realised with grief, that she was the rude one, the ingrate, the thief.
